Approximately twenty-five thousand households in southeastern Queensland woke up lacking electricity on Monday's dawn after severe thunderstorms swept through the region, generating powerful gusts hitting 109km/h.
Massive Frozen Precipitation and Broad Damage
Locals reported substantial frozen pellets as large as 7cm in certain regions. Meteorological experts confirmed that different parts across the state had been affected by substantial ice precipitation.

Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along large portions of Queensland's east this next several days as a atmospheric system continued to attract humidity against the shoreline.
The following day was forecast to be the most rainy day, with persistent storm activity anticipated across different parts of both regions.
Health Warning
Public health experts cautioned that there was an greater possibility of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the northern rural areas, especially given the current weather patterns.
